A Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, administrators, and other developers to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components (Aura and LWC), and other Salesforce technologies to support business requirements.
- Integrate Salesforce with other systems using APIs, web services, and middleware tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts, administrators, and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support.
- Ensure best practices are followed in coding standards, security, and data management.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and release notes.
- Stay updated with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices to continuously improve the platform and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, with hands-on experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components (Aura and LWC), and Salesforce configuration.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and sharing rules.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools.
- Familiarity with Salesforce development tools such as Salesforce DX, VS Code, and Git.
- Knowledge of declarative tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Platform Developer II or other Salesforce certifications are a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools for Salesforce deployments.
- Experience with AppExchange products and managed packages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
